North Korea women's soccer defeats USA 1-0 to reach FIFA U-20 World Cup final



North Korea has reached the final of the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) Under-20 Women's World Cup, defeating 'powerhouse' United States.

The North Korea U-20 Women's National Team defeated the United States of America 1-0 in the semifinals of the tournament at the Estadio Olimpico Pascual Guerrero in Cali, Colombia, today (June 19).

In the 22nd minute, North Korea's Choi Il-sun rattled the US goal with a left-footed shot that proved to be the game-winner.

North Korea, 메이저사이트 a two-time winner (2006-2016) and one-time runner-up (2008) of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, will play the winner of the semifinal between Japan and the Netherlands in the highly anticipated final on March 23, seeking its third title in eight years and third overall.

The United States, tied with Germany for the most wins in the tournament's history (three), missed out on its first title in 12 years and was pushed into the third-place playoff.
